Last fall Megan and Mark came together wonderful wedding at Baltimore’s Saint Ignatius Church and the Engineer’s Club.  The beauty of the bride and groom as well as the architecture of the setting made designing their wedding album quite the treat.

Mount Vernon square is a picturesque place for wedding photos.  The classic architecture and monumental marble give a backdrop like no other and give me a lot to work with when putting together a design.

Saint Ignatius is a marvel to look at, and almost every couple married there wants a large wide angle shot shown off in there album.  I’m happy to accommodate.

Sometimes heavy vignettes on photos out of black does a great job of showing the energy of the end of the reception…leading to…

…a great finish.

Joanna and Michael were married last summer at Baltimore’s Marriott Waterfront (take a look at the blog post here).  When it came time to design their album, my main goal was to echo the classic, beautiful, and warm feeling that their wedding presented to me.  The Marriott’s tans, whites, and oranges was a great color scheme match to the soft pink and deep blues of the wedding.  These images are some of my favorites from the book!

Most of the time I try to pick up backgrounds and textures from the multitude of options Gary gives me with his photography, but occasionally I dive into my own collection of designs for some nice flourishes like the one pictured above.

I love it when Gary gives me a photo like the cake shot above!  It makes it so easy (well seemingly easy) to join the power of their stunning cake with the joy and story of the wedding so easily.

And now I begin the parent books – can’t wait!

Allie was very poised during her services and definitely happy to celebrate afterwards! “Color everywhere” was the order of the day with balloons, unique lighted centerpieces and much more thanks to Terrye and Robert Grosshandler (Parties By Terrye).

Ellen Leaming and The Suburban Club made 250 guests comfortable and happy at this very active event. I was impressed that the high guest count did not feel crowded at all. Purnell and his So Fresh Entertainment crew did an outstanding job with over 100 high-energy kids!

You couldn’t ask for a more perfect day for a wedding! The sun was low in a clear blue sky this November afternoon. Our couple wanted an intimate ceremony in this pretty chapel, surrounded by their families.

Victoria Clausen designed gorgeous floral arrangements that harmonized with the surroundings and the season.

After the ceremony, everyone went to Ruth’s Chris for a fine dinner and of course, cake!

The next evening Cortney and Rob had a larger party at their beautiful home. Linwoods did a fabulous job with the food! Our newlyweds received special wine with instructions to enjoy one bottle each year on their anniversary.

It was a fine day for a wedding on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The Oaks Waterfront Inn is tucked away on a picturesque cove not far from St. Michaels. Although it was mid-November, the trees had not yet given up their fall foliage and the weather was unusually mild.

Kelsey and Noah are a fun-loving couple who laughed during their ceremony, after their ceremony, and plenty more throughout the evening. Many thanks go to Phil and Isabell for capturing so much of this wonderful day!

Stunning weather and a fine time to see your bride at the Inner Harbor!

The guys had a great time horsing around. Who knew that Kevin was a modern day Babe Ruth!

The Old Otterbein Church provides an intimate setting for their vows.

The Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum is attractive in it’s own right, but decorations by Perkins Productions moved this space into the next level.

The outside pier was romantic and who wouldn’t want classic Baltimore skyline in their background??

Our couple wanted an industrial, edgy look and the Clipper Mill complex fit the bill nicely. Located between Hampden and Woodberry, the buildings have been repurposed for residential use, artist’s studios such as Coradetti Glass and Gutierrez Studio, the Woodberry Kitchen restaurant, and other commercial activities. Even with all the renovations there still is plenty of grit to satisfy the eye.

This old car would be a perfect match if this were a movie set.

The red brick and rusty metal echoed Carrie’s red hair.

Carrie and Adam picked a photo location that inspired them. They dressed accordingly and weren’t afraid of getting a little gritty themselves!

Mountain Branch was a spectacular backdrop for our couple and they hardly noticed that it was quite chilly outside. Her gown from Alfred Angelo Bridal helps to keep her warm but not entirely!

Hair by Elite provided beauty services. Lorena covered the hair duties and Ashley took care of makeup (her specialty at the salon). Note how good Ashley looks in these closeups. This is a result of her great natural looks AND beauty services that show well for the camera. This is an important consideration when selecting a salon for your wedding.

Carol Westerlund, owner of Larkspur Floral Design, provided gorgeous arrangements as always. Lovely colors!

St. Stephen Church in Kingsville is a charming structure and perfect for a more intimate ceremony.

Two remarkable cakes were made by the Joe’s uncle. The action figures on the groom’s cake were actually from the groom’s childhood collection.

Jim Skipper of Black Tie Video filmed everything yet managed to to be nearly invisible, and that’s a rare skill! Mountain Branch staff were cheerful and efficient and the guests loved the food. Parris of Elan-DJ provided the music that kept everyone up and dancing through the evening. Many thanks to our own Isabell Triemer for photographing the lion’s share of this wedding with me.
