Library Bound Album Details

We proudly use Leather Craftsmen to handcraft beautiful albums that will last a lifetime.

Before ordering the album certain aspects of the cover and interior need to be chosen.

Step 1: Cover Material

Standard Euro Leather is included in our base price – all other leather choices are an extra cost of $45.

Step 2: Split Tone/Cover Stripe

Split Tone combines the use of any combination of Leather, Japanese Book Cloth, or Premium Fabric on the spine and cover.  It is an extra cost of $135.00.

Cover Stripes are similar to the Split Tone cover, but the stripe of alternative material is not on the spine.  It can be either horizontal or vertical.  It is an extra cost of $125.00.

Another alternative is the T-Stripe (which is $150.00) seen below:

Step 3: Cover Inscription

Two lines of text (extra lines are $15 each) can be placed anywhere on the cover of the album.  Generally people have the inscription in the bottom right or directly in the center of the album, but it can also be on the bottom center or printed vertically along the edge of the album.

It can be printed in Gold, Silver, Copper, Black, White, or Red (custom colors can be requested, but their availability is limited).

The inscription comes in four different fonts: Modern, Block, Italic, and Old English.  You can view some examples below:

Text can also be printed on the spine of the book for an extra charge of $30.  An example can be seen below:

Step 4: Cover Inset Photos and Photo Plates

Photographs can be inset in a variety of ways on the cover of the album.  The cost of an inset photo is $65 (with each additional photo being $30 each).  Here’s some examples of photo placement:

These placements can always be customized further – just let us know!

There is also an option of a Photo Plate cover – where the entire cover is a piece of scratch-resistant metal with a vibrant photo printed on it.  This image is chosen by you and features custom designed lettering provided by Jackson Photography.  The cost is $195.00.  An example can be seen below:

Step 5: Custom End Papers

The inside cover of these albums comes in a standard black, but there are designer alternatives in Asian Rice Paper ($35) and Cork ($85).

Custom fabrics (provided by the client) can also be used for a cost of $45.

Step 6: Slipcases

Slipcases are a beautiful way to protect the album.  The cost of a 10×10 single slipcases is $225 (please inquire for a quote on larger or smaller sizes).  An example can be seen below:
